Jacques LaGrange (00:00.504)
Have you ever felt like throwing in a towel, just giving up? Let's talk about it next on the Giving a Purpose podcast.

Jacques LaGrange (00:33.556)
Welcome to the Giving a Purpose podcast where we bridge the highs, the lows, the lessons learned through life's journey and filling in the gap. You already know what it is. New episode, new week. Thank you guys for joining us once again with a fresh episode of the Giving a Purpose podcast. But what I need you to do first, make sure you hit that subscribe button, hit the like button.

hit the bell so you get the alerts when all the new episodes come out each week. So I kinda wanted to ask you guys a question. Have you ever felt like you're not doing anything right? Like you've been praying, you've been working hard, you've been showing up, but then you're believing and nothing still isn't happening? Listen, definitely been there.

But what I realize is that the delay does not mean denial. I just have to be patient, because the patience produces perseverance, right? And then if I'm making sure that I'm persevering towards that, I know the reward is going to be so much, so much better. Like, I'm not gonna lie. I have times where I'm asking myself different.

Did God forget me? Did he just not answer what I asked him? I'm going through the Bible, I'm trying to do it the way that he said and I get nothing. But sometimes when I want it and how I want it may not be the best or it just...

I am not in a position to receive it yet. And it happens to all of us. So I definitely want to encourage you to let you know it's on the way. So just make sure you stay focused, stay focused. Cause God is always going to prepare you before he allows it to happen for you. Now preparation may look like different things like

Jacques LaGrange (02:55.47)
preparation may look like you going through some things to see if you really handled it, right? So if you're asking God for patience, God is gonna put you in some situations where he can test to see if you're patient enough. Sometimes that's how he works. And we also gotta realize that sometimes

pressure will just reveal who we really are. Because when we're impatient, right, we get desperate and then guess what? Then we're trying to do things on our own. And guess what? That ain't faith. That ain't trusting in him. That's trusting in what you can do, right? And that's not what we want to do because what I realized in this lifetime, the delay kind of helps me build my character, right?

And for me, character is currency. And if I can prove one to myself that I can handle this as well, and it gives me confidence, I can stay focused and not be so distracted, right? And another thing that I have to do to make sure that I'm good, stop comparing myself. I know we're on social media. We see other people doing things. And you know, the one thing that

gets me all the time is when you think, when you think, let's be clear sometimes about that. When you think somebody's not living right or doing things not the right way, but they're getting all the results that you've been asking for. And the worst thing we can do is compare. Or just seeing people have stuff and you're jealous or you're comparing or you're not at that stage yet.

What I realized sometimes is, yeah, I've asked God to be a millionaire, being a billionaire, trillionaire, all kinds of things like that. But in my heart, it's not for me to buy stuff. It's crazy because I like to be in a position to help people. One, and two, when I'm helping people, don't ever, I want the blessing of money to be a blessing. So.

Jacques LaGrange (05:20.906)
If I need to help someone, that is not the deterrent from us getting where we need to get to is because we don't have the money. Let's work hard and let's make sure it happens. But I just have to understand, and we just have to understand that we can't compare ourselves to other people and what other people have. You should celebrate their happiness. Be thankful, right? And then be what our theme is for this year.

believe in and expect it's gonna happen to you. You have to believe in yourself. Like being in faith and trusting in faith is, how can I say this? It's physically, in this fleshly body, is delusional. But spiritually, we become strong. And so,

We have to understand, we have to keep the faith, we have to stay focused and we have to do what he called us to do and stay patient. And when you're ready, it's gonna happen. And it's gonna come, it's gonna happen crazy that you just, you're not gonna believe it because you thought it was gonna happen a different way and it happened this way. Just stay focused, just be ready.

Believe and expect and do the work. And the other two things I need you to do, make sure you do all the time is make sure you live on purpose and make sure you live in purpose. I'll see you guys next time. Peace.
